District Explorer Inter-Unit Archery & Shooting Competition

Join us for Danum’s annual Explorer Archery and Shooting Competition — a competitive and engaging event where Explorers can test their precision, challenge themselves and represent their unit.
Event Overview
This inter-unit competition brings together Explorers from across the district for a day of skill, focus and friendly competition.
Participants will take part in both archery and shooting disciplines, aiming to achieve the highest scores individually and as part of their unit. Whether experienced or completely new, the event is open to all abilities, with qualified NSRA and AGB leaders supervising all activities.
Throughout the event, Explorers will rotate between activities, with time to relax between sessions while waiting for their turn.

Who Can Attend
- Explorer Scouts
- Maximum 30 young people
- Maximum 5 Explorers per unit
- Open to all abilities

- Venue: 55th Doncaster (Intake) Scout HQ, Cumberland Avenue, Intake, Doncaster, DN2 6LH
- Date: Saturday 20 June 2026
- Time: 2:00pm to 9:00pm
- Cost: £15 per Explorer
- Food & Drink: Meal and drinks provided during the event
Kit List
- Signed digital shooting consent form

- Optional: small card game or board game for downtime
Important Information
- Mobile phones may be brought at the owner’s risk but must be turned off during activities
- Archery will take place in the Church Hall
- Shooting will take place in the Scout Hut
- Explorers will wait in a marquee between activities
Booking & Payment
- Bookings open: 13 April 2026
- Bookings close: 20 May 2026
- Bookings must be made online by the Group
- Your Group will be invoiced for all places booked
- Payment should be made by bank transfer before the event
- Medical and dietary information must be provided at the time of booking
- A digital shooting consent form is required for all participants
Leader Information
- Leaders are not required to attend
- The event will be fully supervised and delivered by the District Events Team
