First Response Practical Assessment (Module 10b)

We are pleased to offer a First Response Practical Assessment session, delivered by an approved Scouts First Response assessor.

This session provides the practical validation element of First Response and is suitable for volunteers who have already completed the required theory learning. It enables participants to demonstrate competence in key first aid skills in order to meet The Scouts First Response requirement.

The session is delivered face to face in a short drop in assessment format. Volunteers should arrive at least 30 mins prior to the end time with each participant allocated approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete their practical validation. There may be a short wait during busy periods.

Who should attend

• • Adult volunteers who have completed Module 10a theory and require practical validation
  • Volunteers who have completed an approved external first aid course and need Scouts practical validation
  • Volunteers renewing their First Response where theory has already been refreshed

Please note: this is a practical assessment only and is not a full First Response course. Theory learning must be completed before attending.

What to bring

• Confirmation that Module 10a theory has been completed
• Details of any relevant external first aid qualification if applicable
