Squirrel Wood is the Doncaster Danum District campsite, providing a woodland setting for camping, training and outdoor activities for Scout Groups and sections across the district.
Located close to Doncaster, the site offers a safe, accessible space where young people can experience outdoor Scouting without travelling far from home. It is regularly used by Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers for camps, sleepovers, activity days and skills training.
The woodland environment makes Squirrel Wood ideal for traditional Scouting activities such as campfires, outdoor cooking, pioneering and team challenges, while also supporting district events, leader training and small scale gatherings.
Squirrel Wood is managed on behalf of Doncaster Danum Scouts and is an important district asset, helping to ensure that outdoor adventure remains a core part of Scouting locally.
