Using the Lake
Barnby Dun Lake is used by Scout Groups across the District to deliver water activities within their own sections.
- Sessions are run by your own leaders
- Activities must follow Scouts water activity guidance

The lake is suitable for:
- Squirrels
- Beavers
- Cubs
- Scouts
- Explorers
The calm conditions make it appropriate for Class C waters, supporting both introductory experiences and ongoing skills development.
What the lake offers

Equipment is available through District arrangements, including:
- Kayaks and canoes
- Paddles
- Buoyancy aids

Barnby Dun Lake has been used by Doncaster Scouts for many years and remains a well established and trusted venue for water-based Scouting.

Bookings are open from April to October and are coordinated directly with the lake management team.
