This form has been designed for Doncaster Leaders to submit their Nights Away notification direct to the District without the need to download, fill in, save, and email a word document. Simply fill in online and submit.
This form provides the information a Commissioner requires to APPROVE an event to take place POR 9.1b. Each group attending a Nights Away event (even a County or District event) will need to submit this information.
For all Nights Away experiences, all of the information below should be submitted SEVEN days before the event (in normal circumstances). Direct Communication must be made with DC if shorter than 7 Days.
For all Nights Away held at facilities not owned or operated by Scouting, such as public or commercial campsites and youth hostels, the host District Commissioner (note 1) must also receive a copy of the information, normally this should be at least FOURTEEN days before the event. As long as you provide an email for the Host DC, we\’ll forward this notification on for you.
Where an expedition is taking you across a number of Districts or Counties this information should be sent to the County Secretary(s) instead.
Please check the Prohibited and Restricted Areas Camping Directory on members.scouts.org.uk to ensure your site does not fall within a restricted area.
Menus, programmes and other paperwork are NOT required with this form. However, if you wish to send through documentation it must be a word document, you can attached up to 2 files with this application.
